Building

A few things at once, as always. AI Usage Meter is getting some long-overdue attention — the core is solid but there's more I want to do with it. CouchWord has a backlog of puzzle improvements I've been ignoring responsibly. And there's a new project taking shape that I'm not ready to talk about yet, which is either exciting or a red flag depending on your disposition.

Located

New York City. Specifically: wherever the wifi is decent and the background noise is tolerable, which narrows it down to about four places.

Reading

Whatever's open in the most recent browser tab I didn't mean to leave open. Also some actual books, occasionally.

Thinking about

What it means to build useful software as a one-person operation in a world where every AI company is also trying to build useful software. Spoiler: I think the answer is specificity — small, sharp tools for real people with real problems. But I'm still working it out.
